News and Information about Big Fish Creations.
Plumas County Advertising Agency, Big Fish Creations recently completed a major video project for The California Office of Traffic Safety's Every 15 Minutes Program. Cooperating with the California Highway Patrol, Plumas County Sheriff's Office, City of Portola, Eastern Plumas Health Care, and Portola Junior/Senior High School, the agency produced a 15 minute short film that dramatized the tragic results of teen drinking and driving.
"The plot for the story began with and idea from CHP Officer, Seth Preston and the Every 15 Minutes Core Comittee," says Michael Clawson, owner of Big Fish Creations. "They wanted to tell the story in reverse, from the jail scene backwards, so we implemented a cinematic techique with journey and return themes via a dreamlike state." Clawson believes this technique added to the overall arch of the story's tragic ending, pulling the viewer deeper into the film's theme.
According to the program's official page, "the Every 15 Minutes program is a two-day program focusing on high school juniors and seniors, which challenges them to think about drinking, driving, personal safety, the responsibility of making mature decisions and the impact their decisions have on family, friends, their community, and many others."
Big Fish Creations was honored to participate in the making of the video portion of the program.
